Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo earned his only NBA All-Star selection of 2020.
Despite being in the midst of his best season, Adebay has yet to become a fan favorite when it comes to voting. Thanks to two vote returns, Adebayo is not among the top 10 voters. The fan represents 50% of the chosen starters.
When asked how he felt about the lack of attention, Adebayo replied that he had more important things to focus on.
“No,” Adebayo said. “I do what I do at the end of the day. I can’t pay attention to that. It’s about winning. I feel like winning takes care of everything.”
The next fan vote update will be shared on Thursday. Voting closes January 21 and runners are announced January 26.
Adebayo has at least one fan after picking up 20 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Adebayo is a real threat,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “He’s a great guy who can do both. He gets hit, he throws and gets his offensive rolls, boards and lobs.”
